New 2023 Mazda MX-5 for Sale in Mississauga, ON

A peerless performer

Only some people in Mississauga and the Greater Toronto Area need or want a massive truck or SUV, and it’s easy to forget about some of the sensational alternatives available. When it comes to affordable convertible sports cars, nothing comes close to the 2023 Mazda MX-5 Miata for style, value, and sheer driving pleasure. Now available as a soft top MX-5 Miata and an MX-5 Miata RF with a retractable hard top, the legendary Miata is the roadster for all seasons and occasions.

Five great options

There are five versions of the 2023 Mazda MX-5 Miata to choose from; three trim levels of the soft-top Miata and two trim levels of the 2023 Mazda MX-5 RF with its retractable hardtop. The soft-top versions of the MX-5 are available as an entry-level GS, a mid-range GS-P, and a range-topping GT trim level. The 2023 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF is available in GS-P and GT trim levels if you prefer your two-seat roadster with a retractable hardtop.

And before you even get behind the wheel to experience the sensational driving and handling characteristics of the MX-5, it’s worth taking a moment to drink in the continually beautiful exterior styling. The little Mazda roadster’s long nose, snug boot, and graceful curves are a contemporary sports car design masterclass. The exterior is then complemented by a relatively minimalist interior that completes an automotive package that isn’t ashamed to advertise that it’s all about the driving experience.

Handling and performance

The incredible handling and performance of the 2023 Mazda MX-5 Miata and Miata RF start with getting the basics right; small, lightweight, close to the road, a perfect 50/50 weight balance, and rear-wheel driven. Mazda has honed and perfected the Miata platform over the years, and you’ll struggle to find anyone with anything negative to say about it whatsoever. The Miata can hold its own on twisty tracks and roads with much more expensive and powerful vehicles. The relatively modest powerplant can also return decent fuel economy of up to 6.6 L/100 km on the highway.

Under the hood of every 2023 Mazda MX-5 Miata is a 2.0-litre inline-four powerplant, which sends its 181 horsepower and 151 lb.-ft. of torque through a standard six-speed manual transmission. The standard manual transmission is appropriate for the little Mazda’s driver-focused character, but a six-speed automatic is available if you prefer. The 0 to 100 kph time is a touch over six seconds, which doesn’t feel as modest as you might imagine when combined with the Miata’s incredible driving dynamics.

Comfortably equipped

With so much focus on how the 2023 MX-5 handles and performs, you could be forgiven for thinking comfort, luxury, and driver-assist features could be lacking. However, that’s certainly not the case, as the Mazda can cram a lot of high-end features into its compact cabin if you go for the higher trim levels. The top GT trim comes with standard Black leather-trimmed upholstery with grey stitching, which you can upgrade to Terracotta or Pure White Nappa leather as an option.

Every model comes standard with 17-inch alloy wheels, with Black Metallic, Gunmetal, or Forged Dark finishes, depending on the trim level. If you go for a GS-P or GT trim, standard features include a limited-slip differential, a sport suspension with Bilstein shocks, and Induction Sound Enhancer (ISE). The infotainment system now includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and the Apple CarPlay is wireless in GT models.
