New 2023 Mazda MX-30 EV for Sale in Mississauga, ON

Sporty, safe, economical, and fun

The 2023 Mazda MX-30 is the brand’s first foray into the world of battery-electric mobility, and it’s a fabulously quiet, smooth, and economical way to get around Mississauga, or elsewhere in the Greater Toronto Area. If you’ve been considering moving to an electric vehicle (EV) but you’ve been put off by high prices and questionable styling, the MX-30 is the answer.

Traditionally different

Some shoppers want their EV to shout to the world with its exterior styling that it’s something different, while others want an attractive vehicle that’s not trying to make a big statement. There are elements of the 2023 Mazda MX-30 that some people might consider individual or unique, but it’s not a design that’s going to scare away more traditional shoppers. The MX-30 is sleek and sporty, and it doesn’t look out of proportion as it isn’t as tall as some small crossovers appear to be.

If one element of the styling sets the Mazda apart from the crowd, it has to be what the manufacturer calls its “Freestyle Doors.” While the MX-30 isn’t the first vehicle to feature what many call “suicide doors,” it is unique in its class. Instead of conventional front and rear doors that open out the same way, the front and rear doors of the MX-30 open in opposite directions to create a single, large open space with no pillar dividing the front and rear seats.

Performance and models

The 2023 Mazda MX-30 is available with a single electric drivetrain, and there are two trim levels to choose from. The GS trim level is the more affordable of the two available models, and the higher-spec version is the MX-30 GT. There’s a decent price difference between the pair, so it’s worth looking closely at the specification detail to help you decide which model is suitable for you.

Both models get the same battery-electric powertrain, which features an 80.9-kW electric motor and a 35.5-kWh battery pack situated beneath the passenger compartment floor. The electric powertrain produces 143 horsepower and 200 lb.-ft. of torque that gets sent exclusively to the front wheels. The weighty battery pack located so low in the Mazda lowers the vehicle’s center of gravity. That makes the MX-30 stable at all speeds and contributes to an enjoyable driving experience with good handling and a comfortable ride.

A tough decision

It could be a tough decision between the GS and GT versions of the 2023 Mazda MX-30 if your budget brings them both into consideration. But even if it doesn’t, you’re sure to be impressed with the standard GS specification. The GS comes with standard LED lights, paddle shifters, air conditioning, black/grey combination cloth upholstery, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and an i-Activsense display. The GT also gets an infotainment system with an 8.8-inch display, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and navigation.

Suppose you’d like an even more impressive specification. In that case, the GT adds to that with adaptive headlights with automatic leveling, front wiper de-icers, a power-operated glass moonroof, and a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system. That’s not all, though, as the GT also features two-tone leatherette and cloth-trimmed upholstery, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a 360-degree View Monitor, and front parking sensors.
